We are watching the big French Command Center. They are trying to get FRA 1 and FRA 2 to Sicilia. Its a bit confusing that the meteo official of the Gordon Bennett Race is also sitting in the team Command Center. But it doenst matter. We are going to fight head to head with the French teams. And again the weather experts Luc Trulleman (FRA 1) and Benjamin Eimers (GER 1) have their "own" command center to command center competition. Hopefully at this time the big advantage of the hombebuild Leys balloons (60 kg) and also less heating of the hydrogen within the white inside/outside French balloons (an other 100kg during 3 days/nights) can be beat by the precise gasballoon and weather knockledge of Benjamin and the experience of 1100 flights of Wilhelm and 100 flights of Matthias and last but not least because with the end of the competition area. Also Vincent is very experienced and can nearly do whatever his command center wants because of having always enough ballast.
We were also in contact with our professional weather guide Jens Öhmichen. Special thanks at this point.
Wilhelm and Matthias doing well. They are concentrating on the race and play a round of battleship over the mediterrian ocean.
Beside SPAIN 1 landed!

GB2014-Team SUI3:

Ohhh well,

« SUI3 » has just landed now safely on the croatian isle of Cres !

This is part of the game, this is why the « GB » cup is so exciting and challenging to take part to it and to be involved in it !!!
Things don’t always go as you think, plan and wish till the end…that’s life.

The game is now over and done for us «Team- SUI3 » which has been proudly keeping the « pole position » for more than 30 hours with an incredible flight and choice of strategy !!!
Pretty tough though for both pilots on board who had to stay for so long so high in the cold and under oxygen !!!

They will be (from now) beaten by others of course and we sincerly wish a good continuation of flight and mainly safe landings to all of them currently still in the air!

It’s been a great adventure again for us and our brand new team !
We’ve learned a lot again !

C u all next year !

Good Morning!
Our team is doing well and our command center is calculating what is possible and what not. They still have a huge amount of ballast. We are sure, that most teams going to land on Sardina, Corsica or mainland of Italy. Hopefully also POL 1 (seems like they flying between the two islands) can hit one of the islands. The weather in Italy on Monday morning is going to be extreme dangerous with highly thunderstorm activity in the early morning. At this point we cant say more about our tactic but after sunset we will know who has landed.
